BEST CHEF
The 2013 Best Chef was a sold out event that drew a crowd of close to 300, who enjoyed food tastings from around the North Shore and watched the high stakes competition between four local celebrity chefs.
The chefs, including Christopher DeStafano of Christopher’s Table in Ipswich, who was awarded the title of “Best Chef”, competed to create the most gourmet dish using food pantry ingredients.
Other competing chefs included Stephen Grato of Fibber McGee’s of Beverly, Scott Jenson of Alchemy Café and Bistro in Gloucester and Chianti Tuscan Restaurant of Beverly.
A thrilling live auction, hosted by Don Kelley of Wayside Trailers, offered items like a “Picnic at Sea”, “A Weekend in Killington” and of course Red Sox tickets!
The evening would not have been possible without host, Karen Nascembeni, Director of Communications of the North Shore Music Theatre; judges Paul Guanci, Super Sub and Casual Catering; Sam Hunt, Wild Horse Café; and Eliana Hussain, Cambridge School of Culinary Arts.
And the Winners are....
