COMMUNITY CONNECTIONS

Whenever possible, Beverly Bootstraps collaborates with other organizations to strengthen the services provided to our clients.

The following represents a current list of partner agencies/groups.

Apple Village
In an effort to increase access of fresh fruits and vegetables to low-income individuals and families, Beverly Bootstraps has partnered with Apple Village to offer family and elderly housing residents a Mobile Market that provides free fresh produce and vegetables on a weekly basis, June through October.

Be Healthy Beverly
Be Healthy Beverly is a community collaboration of city departments and community agencies working together to facilitate sustainable initiatives to improve the health and well-being of the community. Beverly Bootstraps works closely with Be Healthy Beverly to prioritize health strategies that will make long-lasting changes in Beverly either through policy or environmental means.

Beverly Council on Aging/Senior Center
In an effort to increase access to produce and staple food items to the elderly living on fixed incomes, Beverly Bootstraps has partnered with the Beverly Council on Aging to bring the Mobile Market to the Senior Center every other week through late June.

Beverly Hospital, a Member of Lahey Health
Beverly Hospital works to improve the health of their emergency room patients by providing a bag of staple foods if needed, as well as referring them to Beverly Bootstraps for further assistance.

Beverly Housing Authority
In an effort to increase access of fresh fruits and vegetables to low-income individuals and families, Beverly Bootstraps has partnered with Beverly Housing Authority to offer family and elderly housing residents a Mobile Market that provides free fresh produce and vegetables on a weekly basis, June through October.

Beverly Public Schools
Beverly Bootstraps works closely with the Beverly Public Schools to coordinate many of our Youth and Family Services, including our Back-to-School Bonanza and Summer Food Program. Additionally, we work with the schools to identify children with barriers to academic success and in need of tutoring in our After-School Homework Clubs. Beverly Bootstraps often receives referrals from the schools for those in need of Adult Education programs, assistance through our Food Pantry or Client Support through our Case Management Team.

Beverly Resource Group
Beverly Resource Group is a collaboration of community partners who come together to discuss resources available, promote financial stability and improve the quality of life of low-income Beverly residents. Our Case Management staff plays an active role in the Beverly Resource Group steering committee.

Cape Ann Resource Exchange (CARE) Network
CARE Network is a collaboration of community partners who come together to discuss available resources, promote financial stability and improve the quality of life of low-income Cape Ann residents, including Manchester-by-the-Sea. Our Case Management staff has worked closely with participants of the CARE Network since its inception in 2010.

City of Beverly
Our staff works with city departments to coordinate services and support the community as effectively as possible.

Local Houses of Worship
The Beverly Bootstraps collaborates with local houses of worship to provide free daily community meals to those in need in Beverly.

North Shore Adult Education Partnership (NSAEP)
The North Shore Adult Education Partnership is a network of educators, employers and service providers who work with adult students in Salem, Peabody, Beverly and Danvers.NSAEP members collaborate to plan region-wide, coordinate joint advocacy and visibility and integrate approaches for adult education.

North Shore Community Action
North Shore Community Action Program (NSCAP) provides low-income individuals and families access and support for fuel assistance applications and free tax preparation services. Our Case Management staff works closely with NSCAP to provide Beverly and Manchester residents with these services.

North Shore Community College
Through a partnership with North Shore Community College, the Greater Boston Food Bank and The Open Door, we bring food directly to the campus so students struggling with hunger can easily access it monthly during the school year at a Mobile Market providing free healthy produce and much needed staple food items.

North Shore Hunger Network
The North Shore Hunger Network is a collaboration of food pantries on the North Shore, working together to alleviate the impact of hunger in communities North of Boston. Our Food Pantry staff plays an integral role in this group.

Third Party Funders
We work with several third party funders who provide financial assistance to our clients.

Thrift Shop Vouchers
Our staff collaborates with other local agencies to provide vouchers to our Thrift Shop to provide access to clothing and housewares in urgent situations.

Turtle Creek/Turtle Woods
In an effort to increase access of fresh fruits and vegetables to low and moderate-income seniors, Beverly Bootstraps has partnered with Turtle Creek and Turtle Woods to offer elderly residents a Mobile Market that provides free fresh produce and vegetables on a weekly basis, June through October.

Volunteers and Interns
We collaborate with many of the local businesses and colleges to recruit volunteers and interns.
